Lavoro is the Italian word for work. We chose it because it describes what the job actually is.
You already did the hard part: building a family, a business, a practice, and the wealth that sits underneath all three. Our role is to build the plan that keeps it intact, then stay close enough to adjust when circumstances shift. Some clients want us running the file. Others want us beside the accountant and lawyer they already rely on. Both arrangements suit us. What does not change is that the relationship gets earned again every year.
Every advisor here holds at least one professional designation and keeps adding to it. Our planning team is made up of Certified Financial Planners, or advisors working toward that credential, which is the benchmark for the profession in Canada.

We've gathered the financial tools you need in one place. Use our calculators for budget planning, risk assessment, needs analysis, and charitable giving — practical resources to help you make smarter financial decisions.
Lavoro Financial Group Ltd. is an Edmonton-based team of Certified Financial Planners dedicated to building lasting relationships. We earn your trust through experience, professional development, and a commitment to being there during both the good times and the difficult ones.
We'd love to hear from you. Visit us at 7240 – 82 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6B 0G1, call us at 780-990-0246, or email cgerlinsky@lavorogroup.ca. Our team is ready to help you get started.
Your practice is an asset. It deserves to be protected like one.
Whatever stage the business is at, first hire or third decade, the risks change faster than most owners have time to track. We track them with you.
You should know how your advisor earns before you take their advice, so here it is plainly.
Our Certified Financial Planners may charge a flat or hourly fee for planning work.
Where we manage assets on your behalf, a fee is charged against those assets and disclosed to you at the point of sale.
Insurance and investment products often build the advisor compensation into the product itself, paid by the company issuing it rather than billed to you separately. This can include an amount at the time of sale and ongoing trailing amounts.
It's important to understand that if you choose to cancel a product or move your business to another provider, we may be required to repay all or a portion of the commissions that were originally paid to us. We believe in being upfront about this so you can make fully informed decisions about your financial relationships.
Your advisor will go through whichever of these applies to your situation before any business is transacted. If any part of the arrangement is unclear, ask. The answer should not depend on when you ask it.
Founded in 2005, Lavoro Financial Group has been building lasting client relationships across Alberta. Our team of Certified Financial Planners brings complementary strengths to every file.
Every advisor holds a minimum of one professional designation, with our team working toward or holding the CFP — the gold standard in financial planning.
No two clients are alike. We build comprehensive, personalized financial security plans tailored to your family, your business, or your practice.
We work as your key trusted advisor or as a valued member of your existing team — whatever works best for you.
We stay with you through the good times and the difficult ones, providing continuity and support at every stage of your financial journey.
Our advisors are committed to continuous learning, ensuring you always benefit from current knowledge, strategies, and industry best practices.
Much of our work happens between people: parents and children, partners in a business, an owner and the staff who depend on that business continuing.
Building financial independence in Alberta since 2005.
